Kylian Mbappe Wins ‘World Record’ 300 Million Euro Bid From Saudi Arabia Club

After submitting a record-breaking 300 million euro ($333 million) proposal, Paris Saint-Germain has permitted the Saudi club Al Hilal to talk with Kylian Mbappe, a source close to the negotiations told AFP.

World Record’ 300 Million Contract:

Kylian Mbappe has been in the news for the previous several weeks and is perhaps the world’s top goal scorer at the moment. The Frenchman and his club Paris Saint-Germain have been at odds about his contract. Mbappe intends to become a free agent and leave the team in 2024, but PSG wants to either extend his contract or sell him to the best buyer during the current transfer window. The French club apparently got a “world record” bid of 300 million euros for the much desired forward from Saudi Arabia as the standoff over the situation persists.

After submitting a record-breaking 300 million euro ($333 million) bid, Paris Saint-Germain has given Saudi club Al Hilal permission to talk with Kylian Mbappe, a source close to the negotiations told AFP on Monday. The source claimed that the Riyadh-based team had made a formal offer via letter, but that Mbappe would need to consent to the transfer because he has never shown interest in playing in the rapidly expanding Saudi league.

The source claimed that “PSG have given Al Hilal permission to talk to Kylian Mbappe about a transfer for 300 million euros.” Mbappe has one year left on his PSG contract, and the club would prefer that he go now than for nothing in the next summer.

However, Mbappe is steadfastly refusing to sign a new deal, and the French champions are convinced that he has already agreed to join Real Madrid in 2019.

Even football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has acknowledged that Al-Hilal made a significant offer to the Ligue 1 giants.

To see a player like Mbappe leave for a Saudi Arabian club, though, at a time when his career is only progressing, seems somewhat improbable.

The French champions’ decision to leave Kylian Mbappe out of their team for a preseason tour of Japan and South Korea a few days ago has raised more questions about the forward’s future with the club.

PSG had no explanation for leaving out France’s captain, but Mbappe, 24, has been adamant for weeks that he is not interested in signing a new contract.

His absence from the tour will encourage new rumours that he might join Real Madrid prior to the start of the following season.

For a long time, Real Madrid has been interested to sign the player, and many people think that the two parties have already reached some kind of understanding. The current PSG contract of Mbappe expires next summer, but there is a one-year extension option.
